Audio-Technica launches HiFi Pack vinyl system in Australia

Audio-Technica has introduced a vinyl playback bundle exclusively for the Australian market. The Audio-Technica HiFi Pack pairs a fully automatic turntable with AT-SP3X powered bookshelf speakers and is available through participating retailers for A$745.

The belt-drive turntable plays records at 33⅓ and 45 RPM. Pressing a button starts the tonearm’s movement into position and lowers it onto the record, with the arm returning when playback finishes. A built-in switchable phono preamplifier allows the turntable to connect directly to the supplied speakers by audio cable, without a separate phono stage or amplifier.

Each speaker uses a 3-inch woofer and a 1.1-inch tweeter, with built-in digital signal processing. The speaker system has a specified maximum output of 30 W and a frequency response of 55–20,000 Hz. A stereo RCA analogue input provides the wired connection.

The speakers also support Bluetooth 5.3, using the SBC codec and A2DP profile. Their specified wireless range is approximately 10 metres with a clear line of sight. Supported sample rates are 44.1 and 48 kHz.

Each speaker measures 200 mm high, 125 mm wide and 136 mm deep, excluding protrusions. The left unit weighs approximately 1.5 kg and the right unit approximately 1.6 kg, and the supplied speaker connection cable is 2 metres long. The package also includes an AT6011a anti-static record brush for cleaning records.
