Yamaha has introduced the R200A entry-level stereo receiver, replacing the R-S202. The two-channel model is rated at 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms over 40Hz–20kHz at 0.2% THD. US sales are scheduled to begin in November 2026 at an announced price of US$299.95.

A dedicated phono input accommodates a compatible turntable without an external phono stage, while three analogue line inputs provide connections for sources such as a CD player, DAC or external streamer. The receiver supports two pairs of loudspeakers with A/B selection and uses binding-post speaker terminals. It also has a dedicated subwoofer output and a front-panel headphone output.

Bluetooth Multipoint allows two source devices to remain connected, enabling switching between a phone and a tablet, for example. Radio reception varies by market: the Australian version has an FM/DAB+ tuner, while the US version has an AM/FM tuner with 40 station presets.

The internal design incorporates revised grounding circuitry and a newly developed heatsink. A centre-beam chassis structure is designed to suppress unwanted vibration. The receiver measures 435mm wide, 137mm high and 328mm deep, and weighs approximately 7.3kg.

The R200A is offered in black and silver finishes. Australian availability is scheduled for early November 2026, with an RRP of A$799.99. Its predecessor first appeared in 2016, placing the new model in an established position within Yamaha's entry-level stereo receiver lineup.
