Winamp has announced a Deezer partnership for its next-generation Winamp Player. The new music player is scheduled for H1 2027 and will centre on a Deezer-powered premium subscription service. It will combine streaming with local libraries, internet radio, podcasts and cloud-based collections.

Winamp announced a Deezer partnership on 29 July 2026 to power its next-generation Winamp Player. The music player is scheduled for release in H1 2027. It will centre on a Deezer-powered premium music subscription service under the Winamp brand.
The new Winamp Player will use Deezer white-label music streaming technology and Deezer's global music catalogue. Winamp's premium subscription service will be integrated into the new player. The design is aimed at reworking the music player around streaming-era listening.
The player will combine premium streaming with local music libraries, internet radio stations, podcasts and personal cloud-based collections. It will also have a customizable interface and social capabilities. Those features place the player within a wider Winamp ecosystem spanning streaming, creators, fans and content.
The existing Winamp desktop player will add Winamp's premium music subscription service after the new platform launches. The desktop player has more than 40 million active users worldwide. Winamp Group's portfolio also includes Winamp, Bridger, Jamendo and Hotmix.
