Vestlyd launches M6C Active and M8C Active speakers

Vestlyd has launched the M6C Active and M8C Active compact active loudspeakers. Each pair uses four 75-watt PWM-driven Class D amplifier channels. The M6C Active costs €899 per pair and the M8C Active costs €1,149 per pair. Both models were available immediately at launch.

Danish loudspeaker brand Vestlyd has launched the M6C Active and M8C Active compact active loudspeakers. The M6C Active costs €899 per pair, and the M8C Active costs €1,149 per pair. Both models were available immediately at launch.

The M6C Active uses a paper-cone woofer and a 1-inch titanium-dome tweeter. The M8C Active combines an 8-inch paper-cone woofer with a 1-inch titanium-dome tweeter. Each pair is powered by four 75-watt PWM-driven Class D channels. The electronics sit in one speaker, and a cable links the second enclosure.

Vestlyd rates the M6C Active's frequency range at 43 Hz to 24 kHz at -6 dB. The M8C Active covers 36 Hz to 24 kHz at -6 dB. Both models support digital audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz. They also provide bass and treble adjustment, plus music, film and neutral sound profiles.

Connections include HDMI eARC, optical digital and USB-C inputs. Analogue options comprise an XLR/6.35 mm combo input and an RCA/phono MM input. Each model also has a subwoofer output. Bluetooth 5.1 supports AAC, aptX HD and aptX Low Latency.

Both models use MDF cabinets offered in oak and black finishes. The M6C Active measures 36.3 × 24.6 × 21.6 cm in height, width and length, and has a net weight of 16.49 kg. The M8C Active measures 44.3 × 29.0 × 27.0 cm in height, width and length, and has a net weight of 24.29 kg. Both pairs were available immediately at launch through Vestlyd's online store.
