QUAD introduces two-model ELEGAN loudspeaker range

QUAD has introduced the ELEGAN 1 and ELEGAN 2 as a new two-model loudspeaker range. The QUAD ELEGAN 1 is a two-way bookshelf loudspeaker, while the QUAD ELEGAN 2 is a three-way floorstanding model. German prices are €999 per pair for the ELEGAN 1 and €1,899 per pair for the ELEGAN 2.

The QUAD ELEGAN 1 uses a two-way acoustic configuration in a bass-reflex enclosure. Its driver complement includes a 165mm woven-Kevlar bass/midrange unit. A 25mm soft-dome tweeter completes the pairing. Sensitivity is 86dB at 2.83V/1m, and the -6dB bass extension is 44Hz.

The QUAD ELEGAN 2 uses a three-way acoustic configuration in a bass-reflex enclosure. Its bass section uses two 165mm woven-Kevlar units. A 125mm woven-Kevlar midrange unit and a 25mm soft-dome tweeter complete the driver complement. Sensitivity is 90dB at 2.83V/1m, and the -6dB bass extension is 32Hz.

Cabinet dimensions are 365 × 220 × 300mm for the QUAD ELEGAN 1 and 942 × 220 × 340mm for the QUAD ELEGAN 2, stated as height, width and depth. Terminals and grilles add 33mm to each depth figure, giving overall depths of 333mm and 373mm respectively. The ELEGAN 1 weighs 8.9kg per speaker, and the ELEGAN 2 weighs 28.4kg per speaker. Both models are offered in Matte Black or real Walnut veneer.

UK prices are £749 per pair for the ELEGAN 1 and £1,499 per pair for the ELEGAN 2. The QUAD ELEGAN range entered German specialist retail in mid-August 2026.
