Pro-Ject has introduced the Wireless Box E, a plug-in mono streaming amplifier for turning passive speakers into wireless active audio systems. The Wireless Box E connects directly to loudspeaker terminals and is priced at €229 including VAT per mono unit. Availability was scheduled from late May 2026.

The amplifier uses Pro-Ject True Wireless Receiving technology and mounts through 4 mm banana plugs at the speaker output. Each module produces 1 x 25 W into 8 ohms or 1 x 50 W into 4 ohms, both rated at 1% THD. A stereo pair requires two Wireless Box E units, one for each loudspeaker.

Pro-Ject lists a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response within less than -1.5 dB at 4 ohms. The Wireless Box E has a 96 dB signal-to-noise ratio at 4 ohms, rising to 100 dB A-weighted. THD is below 0.12% at 5 W into 4 ohms, and channel separation is -67 dB at 10 kHz.

Streaming is handled by WiiM OS, with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. Bluetooth 5.0 playback supports SBC and AAC codecs. Control runs through the Pro-Ject Home app, and the Wireless Box E can receive audio from the Uni Box S3, the Stream Box E and compatible WiiM devices.

The module has an aluminium front panel, a metal chassis and black or silver front-panel finishes. It uses a 22 V/1 A DC power supply and has standby power consumption below 0.5 W. Pro-Ject also lists the Connect it LS-E Flex 0.3 m extension cable for installations where a speaker terminal layout does not allow direct mounting.
