Marantz introduces MCR 60n DAB all-in-one hi-fi system

Marantz has introduced a compact hi-fi system combining disc playback, streaming and amplification. The MCR 60n DAB all-in-one incorporates HEOS multiroom streaming and is rated at 2 × 65W or 4 × 33W into 4 ohms.

The amplifier supports bi-amping and Parallel Bridge-Tied Load operation, while A/B speaker connections provide individual volume control. An optional paid upgrade adds Dirac Live room correction. A subwoofer pre-out provides a variable crossover frequency for low-frequency integration. An AUX-assignable main pre-out also allows connection to external amplification.

Network connectivity is available through Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with support for AirPlay 2 and Roon Ready certification. Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect are supported alongside internet radio. Bidirectional Bluetooth allows the system to receive audio or transmit it to Bluetooth headphones. A separate headphone output provides a wired connection.

The built-in CD player accepts CD-R/RW discs, and the radio tuner receives DAB, DAB+ and FM broadcasts. A moving-magnet phono input accommodates a turntable, while an RCA line-level input provides another analogue connection. HDMI eARC/ARC handles TV audio integration, and the system supports Dolby Digital decoding. Digital connections also include one optical input and a rear USB-A audio input.

The MCR 60n DAB incorporates an upgraded DAC and supports PCM audio at resolutions up to 384kHz/32-bit, as well as DSD up to 11.2MHz. Its enclosure measures 280mm wide, 303mm deep and 111mm high, and the unit weighs 4.2kg. A three-line OLED display is fitted to the front panel.
