Technics announced its new flagship wireless headphones on 29 September 2026. The Technics EAH-A1000 are an over-ear design built around newly developed 40 mm Magnetic Fluid Drivers. They go on sale from 30 September 2026.
The drivers place magnetic fluid between the voice coil and magnet, drawing on technology used in Technics' EAH-TZ700 and EAH-AZ100 in-ear models. They combine cone-shaped carbon-fiber diaphragms with an SST (Symmetrical Surround Technology) Edge, a technology also used in the company's flagship hi-fi speakers. The redesigned acoustic path from driver to ear includes a Baffle Flat Structure that reduces uneven surfaces around the driver. An Acoustic Control Chamber behind the driver manages airflow.
Adaptive Noise Cancelling adjusts to ambient noise and the fit of the headphones. The system uses three feed-forward microphones and one feedback microphone on each side. AI Beamforming is included for calls, while the headphones are also optimized for Dolby Atmos with Head Tracking.
The EAH-A1000 support the Technics Audio Connect app with Sound Share. Specified battery life is up to 45 hours with noise cancellation enabled. Physical buttons and a slide control provide on-headphone operation.
The arm and housing top panels use metal, with the Flow Arm changing from a square shape at the slider to a triangular shape at the hanger. The ear pads use high-density memory foam. The headphones fold for storage and come with a dedicated carrying case. Finish options are Black and Platinum Greige.
