TRIBIT launches StormBox Max portable Bluetooth speaker

TRIBIT has launched the StormBox Max portable Bluetooth speaker. The model has a rated output of 60W and a US list price of $129.99. It is available through TRIBIT and Amazon.

The speaker uses a downward-firing neodymium woofer rated at 30W, alongside four silk-dome tweeters rated at 7.5W each. The tweeters are arranged in a 90-degree array, and a sound-reflection cone is designed to provide 360-degree coverage. The specified frequency response is 53Hz to 20kHz.

A dedicated XBass 2.0 knob provides five bass-adjustment steps in either direction, with each step changing the level by 1.25dB. An EQ button switches between TRIBIT Signature and Outdoor modes. The TRIBIT app provides six preset EQ settings and a nine-band custom equaliser with ±6dB gain adjustment.

Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity supports AAC and SBC audio codecs, with a specified wireless range of up to 150ft (45m). Two StormBox Max speakers can form a left/right stereo pair using TWS. Auracast mode provides multi-speaker playback, sending the same audio to the connected speakers rather than separating the stereo channels.

Two 5,000mAh batteries provide a rated playback time of up to 20 hours, measured at 50% volume with the default EQ under normal-temperature laboratory conditions. Charging takes approximately four hours using a 5V/3A USB-C charger, and the speaker also provides USB-C power output at up to 5V/1A. Its IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating requires the rubber cover to be sealed for waterproof performance. The speaker automatically powers off after 15 minutes without an audio input.
