T-01 Magnedrive Turntable

Esoteric launches T-01 MagneDrive analogue turntable

The patented drive uses magnetic induction to rotate a 13 kg platter without physical contact. A TA-9S tonearm is included, and the chassis can support a second arm with an additional base kit. Worldwide shipment is scheduled for the end of September 2026.

Esoteric has launched the T-01 MagneDrive analogue turntable, built around the company’s patented non-contact magnetic-induction drive system. Esoteric announced the model on 21 August 2026, with worldwide shipment scheduled for the end of September 2026. The turntable is offered in two configurations, the tonearm-equipped T-01 and the armless T-01 AL.

The Esoteric MagneDrive architecture uses magnetic induction to rotate the platter without any physical contact within the drive system. The turntable inherits key technology from Esoteric’s flagship Grandioso T1 platform. The 13 kg platter sits at the centre of this contactless drive assembly.

The standard T-01 configuration includes Esoteric’s TA-9S static-balanced tonearm. The arm itself has an effective length of 232 mm. Tracking force is adjustable across a 0 to 3 g range, using discrete 0.25 g steps for setting. An additional arm-base kit allows the turntable chassis to accommodate a second installed tonearm.

The T-01 supports 33 ⅓ rpm and 45 rpm record playback. Its rotation-speed control provides a ±12.5% adjustment range in 0.1% increments. Rated wow and flutter is 0.06% or less W.R.M.S. Clock connectivity takes the form of a 10 MHz BNC input.

With the included TA-9S installed, the main turntable unit measures 539 × 206 × 432 mm and weighs 35 kg. Its separate power-supply unit measures 146 × 128 × 353 mm and weighs 7 kg. The T-01 AL omits the supplied tonearm, making it the armless configuration in Esoteric’s T-01 range. Worldwide shipments of both configurations are scheduled for the end of September 2026.
