Sennheiser introduces MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 earbuds

Sennheiser announced the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 true wireless earbuds on 20 August 2026. The MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 is Sennheiser’s flagship true wireless model. U.S. preorders are open at $299.95, with retail availability scheduled for 3 September 2026. Both the earbuds and charging case use user-replaceable batteries.

Sennheiser rates the earbuds for up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge. The charging case raises total rated playback to up to 40 hours. An eight-minute quick charge provides up to one hour of listening. The case supports both USB-C charging and Qi wireless charging.

Each earbud uses a 7mm TrueResponse dynamic transducer. Wireless audio supports aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless, with resolutions up to 24-bit/96kHz on compatible sources. The earbuds are optimized for Dolby Atmos and support interactive head tracking. The Smart Control Plus app provides an eight-band equalizer for the earbuds.

The earbud fit has been redesigned for the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5. Its adaptive hybrid active noise-cancellation system includes automatic anti-wind processing. For calls, the earbuds use six microphones and two bone-conduction voice accelerometers. The call system also applies AI speech extraction.

Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity is accompanied by support for Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and multipoint switching. Physical specifications include an IP54 ingress-protection rating for the earbuds and case dimensions of 67.2 × 48.4 × 25.0mm with the earbuds inside. Color options are Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim and Lavender. Retail availability begins on 3 September 2026.
