Cayin has put the CP6 portable tube CD player on sale in Germany. The battery-powered player also functions as a USB DAC and is priced at €998 including VAT. It was available immediately in Germany on 13 July 2026.

The CP6 uses selected Raytheon JAN6418 NOS tubes for its tube timbre modes. It offers Classic Tube, Modern Tube and Solid-State settings. The player also uses a fully balanced discrete four-channel headphone amplifier and supports Class A and Class A/B operation.

Digital conversion is handled by two Cirrus Logic CS4308P DAC chips. USB processing uses an XMOS XU316, and the CP6 accepts PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256 when used as a USB DAC. Headphone support covers impedances from 8 ohms to 600 ohms, with up to 1.3 W per channel from the 4.4 mm balanced headphone output when externally powered.

Connections include 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced headphone outputs, balanced and unbalanced line outputs, coaxial digital output and optical digital output. Bluetooth 5.4 is built around a Qualcomm QCC3083 chipset. Supported Bluetooth reception includes LDAC, aptX Adaptive and aptX HD, and the player can rip CDs to lossless WAV over USB-C.

The aluminium chassis measures 167 x 151 x 29 mm and weighs 720 g. The CP6 has a 2.3-inch colour display, a 7300 mAh lithium-polymer battery and up to 7.5 hours of battery playback. The model was officially launched in mainland China on 14 May 2026 before its July availability in Germany.
