Cayin BTC-2 has been added to the brand’s official English Personal Audio site as a Desktop System product. Cayin describes it as a hi-res Bluetooth hi-fi DAC amp, placing the compact component between wireless sources, desktop audio systems and headphone rigs.
The BTC-2 combines Bluetooth receiver, DAC, preamplifier and headphone-amplifier functions in one unit. Dealer and distributor listings position it as a small desktop component for adding wireless input and headphone use to existing systems rather than replacing the main amplifier or speakers.
Its role is broader than a basic Bluetooth receiver. The unit can feed a line-level system, accept an external digital source and drive headphones from the front panel, giving it a place in compact hi-fi systems and nearfield listening setups.
