We Tested Ask StereoNET. It Returned No Answers.

Ask StereoNET answers questions about equipment, compatibility and what to buy, using StereoNET's articles and more than 20 years of forum discussions. I opened it from the icon on the StereoNET homepage without signing in and then again signed in as user. I asked for an amplifier to match my Avantgarde Acoustic Zero TA. Both got the error message within seconds. The service is in beta, and we will ask the same questions again and update this article.

I also asked our AI Assistant with two different models. And both models did not disappoint. Grok was fast and short and Opus took longer and gave much longer answer. See below and in the hero image.

The Pure Neo AI Assistant is built another way. It reads from the same product database that runs our platform: brands, products and their specifications. It follows facts and physics, and it doesn't repeat opionions or marketing claims. When a number is unknown, it says so.

We don't feed it posts from other users. Pure Neo has no forum and no comments, so there are none to give it. The only personal context it uses is what you enter yourself, such as your room, your gear and your budget. Opinions have their place, and hi-fi already has good communities and good reviewers for them. Our job is the part that can be checked: whether a component fits your system, and whether the data behind it is right.
