Victrola launches Soundstage turntable soundbase in US

Victrola has launched a speaker soundbase designed to sit directly beneath a turntable. The Victrola Soundstage combines a single-cabinet speaker layout with Bluetooth reception and is available in the United States for $329.99 direct from the manufacturer.

The cabinet, drivers and vibration-control system were designed as an integrated structure to address the mechanical interaction between a loudspeaker and the record player above it. Low-frequency energy can travel through furniture and the turntable structure to reach the stylus, creating a feedback loop that can cause coloration, distortion or instability.

A down-firing Symmetric Drive Woofer uses a dual-diaphragm arrangement designed to mechanically cancel much of the vibration transmitted into the cabinet. Its layout and rear-facing bass ports direct the lowest frequencies away from the turntable. Front-facing Balanced Mode Radiators handle midrange and high-frequency reproduction and are designed to provide broad, even dispersion.

For wired sources, Soundstage provides RCA analogue inputs and a 3.5 mm AUX input, together with support for a source connection over USB-C. Its Auracast functionality works in both transmit and receive modes. The soundbase is compatible with turntables from other manufacturers as well as Victrola's own models.

The enclosure measures 429.5 mm in width, 383.7 mm in depth and 89.5 mm in height, and is offered in Black and Walnut finishes. Soundstage can also function as a monitor stand. Victrola also offers a bundle pairing the soundbase with its Wave turntable.
