LG launches xboom Mini, Rock, Blast and Stage 501 in the UK
LG's UK xboom launch covers four speakers developed in collaboration with will.i.am. Each model uses AI Sound to adjust equalisation for the content being played. The Stage 501 also has drivers developed with Peerless.

LG has put four new xboom portable speakers on sale in the UK. The LG xboom Mini costs £40, the xboom Rock £60, the xboom Blast £450 and the xboom Stage 501 £500. The Stage 501 party speaker is rated at 220W on mains power or 160W on battery power.
The Stage 501's AI Karaoke Master can remove vocals from songs in real time, while Key Changer adjusts a track's key to suit the singer's vocal range. Its driver array comprises two 5.25-inch woofers and two 2.5-inch drivers. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.1, a 3.5mm auxiliary input and two 6.3mm microphone inputs. Auracast multi-speaker broadcasting uses Bluetooth LE Audio, with Party Link configured through the LG ThinQ app.
The Stage 501's detachable 99Wh battery is rated for up to 25 hours of playback in Play Time Enhance mode at 50% volume with lighting off. Its five-sided cabinet supports horizontal, tilted, vertical and pole-mounted placement, and carries an IPX4 splash-resistance rating. Space Calibration Pro recalibrates equalisation using a built-in gyro sensor.
The Blast has a maximum stated output of 220W and is rated for up to 35 hours of battery life. It uses a neodymium driver design, with four drive units including two 5.25-inch woofers, plus three passive radiators. Space Calibration Pro adapts its sound to the surrounding space. Coloured lighting can synchronise with music.
The cube-shaped Mini has a carrying strap and tripod mount. Both the Mini and the rugged Rock carry IP67 protection ratings and are rated for up to 10 hours of playback. The larger xboom Power 5000 and Power 9000 are planned to join the range in early October.
