Sony has launched a new pair of headphones in its mid-range wireless line-up. The Sony WH-CH730N are over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation and fully foldable earcups, and went on sale at Amazon and Sony on 7 September 2026.
The model succeeds the WH-CH720N, which launched in 2023. It uses 30mm dynamic drivers and includes DSEE upscaling for lower-quality audio files. The headphones also offer custom equalizer settings and support customisation through the Sony Headphones app.
Battery life is rated at 50 hours with active noise cancellation switched on, or 75 hours with it switched off. A three-minute quick charge provides approximately one hour of playback. The headphones support multipoint connectivity. They also feature Precise Voice Pickup Technology and beamforming microphones.
The WH-CH730N come in black, white, pink, blue and oat. A limited Hello Kitty edition is planned for the 2026 holiday season. That version will have a special colourway and a special case design.
