Triangle launches Borea BR05 large-format standmount speaker

Triangle has expanded its Borea range with a new large-format standmount speaker. The Triangle Borea BR05 features a 21cm mid/bass driver and was available to order as of 19 October 2026.

The mid/bass driver uses a cone made from natural cellulose pulp, with a motor incorporating a 120mm ferrite magnet and a 40mm voice coil. The driver is built around a rigid, open basket. High frequencies are handled by a 25mm silk-dome tweeter that incorporates a phase plug.

The cabinet is constructed from high-density MDF and incorporates internal bracing. A driver vibration absorption system connects the rear of the motor to an internal brace through a high-density foam gasket. This places the gasket at the connection between the driver motor and the cabinet's internal support structure. Two forward-facing bass-reflex ports are fitted to the enclosure.

The supplied base tilts the speaker backward by eight degrees. Triangle's optional S03 stands provide a raised positioning option while retaining that angle. The backward tilt is therefore maintained whether the speaker uses its supplied base or is positioned on the optional stands.
