Goldmund introduces Mimesis Statement analogue preamplifier

The Swiss brand's new flagship uses separate power supplies for its left and right channels. Its design includes revised audio circuitry, volume-control management and trigger outputs for synchronised power control with compatible Goldmund amplifiers.

Goldmund has introduced a new flagship preamplifier. The Goldmund Mimesis Statement is an analogue model with a three-chassis design comprising a preamplifier unit and two external power supplies. Shipping is scheduled for the end of October 2026.

Each power supply is dedicated to an individual channel, while a fully symmetrical internal architecture separates the left and right channels within the preamplifier. The power supply electronics use a new generation of discrete regulation with additional voltage-regulation stages. A newly developed audio board has a revised architecture, accompanied by updated volume-control management and proprietary internal wiring.

The specified frequency response extends from 0.2 Hz to 1.5 MHz at ±3 dB. Total harmonic distortion plus noise is specified at 0.0002%, while intermodulation distortion plus noise is specified at 0.0006%, both measured from unbalanced input to unbalanced output. The line-input signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 130 dB, with an A-weighted figure exceeding 138 dB.

For system power control, the Mimesis Statement provides two trigger outputs that switch between 0 V and 12 V. These support synchronised power control with Goldmund Telos 8800 or Telos 9800 amplifiers, linking the preamplifier's power operation with that of the connected amplifiers.

The exterior features a redesigned cover-glass display and metal-coated controls on the front panel. A recessed gold accent line extends across all three enclosures, providing a shared visual detail across the preamplifier and its separate power supply units.
