Teufel introduces T 10 Mk2 with selectable firing direction

Teufel has introduced a new generation of its T-series subwoofer. The Teufel T 10 Mk2 active subwoofer uses a single-channel Class-D amplifier with a maximum output of 150 W. It is available to order in Germany for €419.99 including VAT, with a €14.99 delivery charge.

The enclosure can operate in front-firing or down-firing orientation by repositioning its rubberised feet. Its one-way bass-reflex design houses a single long-excursion 250 mm aluminium woofer. The specified frequency range is 31–190 Hz, with the lower limit measured at −3 dB. Maximum sound pressure level is specified at 115 dB at one metre, and the subwoofer is rated for rooms up to 40 m².

A single RCA input provides the wired connection, while an integrated wireless module supports direct connection to compatible Teufel CINEBAR models and IMPAQ receivers. Wireless connection to KOMBO 62 receivers or receivers from Denon, Marantz, Yamaha and Pioneer requires the optional Subwoofer Wireless Transmitter. Teufel recommends the subwoofer for its THEATER, ULTIMA, LT, SYSTEM, CINEBAR and CONSONO series.

The controls comprise a continuously adjustable low-pass filter, a level control and a 0°/180° phase switch. Automatic power switching and a protection circuit are included, and settings are retained when the subwoofer is disconnected from mains power. Specified standby consumption is 1 W.

The MDF cabinet uses FSC-certified wood and has a matte foil finish in black or white. It measures 34.1 cm wide, 45 cm high and 38 cm deep, and weighs 15.5 kg. A detachable 1.5 m mains cable is supplied, and the subwoofer operates on 230 V mains power.
