Teufel introduces STUDIO 5X as its first studio monitor
The STUDIO 5X was developed in Berlin for neutral sound reproduction, with acoustic development supported by a Klippel Near-Field-Scanner system. Teufel's acoustic-development team includes producers, sound designers and musicians whose work helped inspire the monitor.

Teufel has introduced its first dedicated studio monitor. The STUDIO 5X is an active, three-way loudspeaker with a launch price of €499.99 per pair. It is available through Teufel's online shop and its own stores.
The driver arrangement places the tweeter and midrange driver on a common coaxial axis, with a separate long-excursion 5.25-inch woofer handling bass. The design incorporates a tweeter waveguide and phase-linear DSP filters. A bass-reflex port faces forwards, and the specified frequency response extends from 42 Hz to 20 kHz at −3 dB.
Placement filters provide settings for use near a wall, in a corner or in a freestanding position. Low-shelf and high-shelf equalization filters provide further adjustment of the frequency balance. The monitor can be positioned horizontally or vertically, accommodating either orientation in a studio setup.
Wired connectivity takes the form of a balanced jack/XLR combination input. A separate Bluetooth-equipped variant, the Teufel STUDIO 5X BT, adds Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. That model supports the aptX HD and AAC Bluetooth codecs for wireless audio playback.
The enclosure has rounded edges, with two M6 threaded mounting points on the rear for installation. Teufel also developed matching tabletop stands for the STUDIO 5X in collaboration with K&M. The monitor is offered with an eight-week return period, and its launch included temporary discount and shipping promotions.
