Ideon Audio launches Axiom flagship DAC platform
The Greek manufacturer is positioning the new converter at the top of its digital range, with a multi-section architecture built around conversion, power, clocking and control. Its public launch also gives Ideon a wider U.S. introduction through distributor 2WA Group.

Ideon Audio has launched the Axiom DAC, a flagship digital-to-analog converter for reference digital playback systems. The model gives the Athens-based manufacturer a new top-level DAC built around its own conversion, power, signal-governance and analog-output architecture.
The Axiom is presented as a multi-part digital playback platform rather than a conventional single-box converter. Stereophile describes it as a three-chassis system comprising The Grid power supply, The Chrono clock and signal-regeneration unit, and The Engine DAC section.
The public introduction took place at Park Avenue Audio in New York in collaboration with U.S. distributor 2WA Group. The Axiom was also scheduled for demonstration at AXPONA in Chicago, extending the U.S. launch activity beyond the New York event.

U.S. retail pricing is $199,000, with Stereophile reporting an estimated delivery time of about two months. SoundStage! Australia reports Australian availability through Absolute Hi End at AU$300,000.
