Denon launches X-Series AVRs with Dirac Live support
The new receivers put Denon’s higher-tier home-cinema line back in focus for enthusiasts and installers. Audyssey remains built in, while optional Dirac upgrades give users another route for room calibration as systems grow more complex.

Denon has launched new X-Series AV receivers led by the AVR-X2900H and AVR-X3900H, adding Dirac Live upgrade readiness to a line aimed at dedicated home-cinema systems and custom installation. The range also includes AVR-X2900H DAB and AVC-X3900H variants.
The launch keeps Audyssey room calibration built into the new receivers, while adding the option for Dirac Live Room Correction upgrades. That gives owners and installers a choice between the integrated calibration route and a paid upgrade path for more involved room-tuning workflows.
The AVR-X2900H is positioned as the lower of the two US-listed models, while the AVR-X3900H adds greater system scale for more complex layouts. Both models sit within Denon’s HEOS-enabled AV receiver range and are intended for home theater, music and multiroom use.
