Écoute Audio has introduced the TH2, the successor to its TH1 headphones. The Écoute Audio TH2 are over-ear headphones with a Nutube 6P1 dual-triode valve in the preamplifier stage. UK prices are £999 for the fabric-trim version and £1099 for the leather-trim version.
The amplification system uses two solid-state amplifiers in a dual-mono configuration, keeping the left and right channels separate. The headphones use 40mm titanium-coated Mylar drivers and have a revised resonance chamber design. Revised shielding around the valve is intended to reduce interference.
Wireless connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 5.3, with support for the LDAC codec. For wired listening, the TH2 offer a choice of USB-C and 3.5mm connections. Active noise cancellation is included, alongside a transparency mode that allows external sounds to be heard. Battery life is approximately 20 hours.
The headband uses a hybrid suspension system with three points of articulation. The TH2 are offered in Charcoal, Gunmetal and Nickel colourways.
