Audiolab has announced a successor to its entry-level 6000CDT. The Audiolab 6000CDT MKII CD transport uses a new slot-loading mechanism and is scheduled to become available in late November 2026. Announced prices are £399 in the UK, $799 in the US and AU$1099 in Australia.

The transport has a revised servo control system alongside updated master-clock circuitry. Its power-supply circuit has also been redesigned, and the unit uses a custom-specified transformer.

Disc compatibility covers standard Red Book audio CDs at 16-bit/44.1kHz, as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs. The 6000CDT MKII also plays FLAC, WAV, WMA, MP3 and APE files stored on data CDs. Data-file playback supports sample rates up to 96kHz for suitable formats.

Digital connections comprise an optical output and a 75-ohm coaxial output. The unit also provides both input and output connections for 12V triggers, along with an automatic standby function. An OLED display is fitted, and the transport comes in a choice of black or silver finishes.
