Accuphase introduces E-6000 amplifier to Australia

The E-6000 replaces the E-5000 at the top of Accuphase's Class AB integrated amplifier range. It has the highest output power of any integrated amplifier in the company's lineup.

Accuphase has introduced its E-6000 integrated amplifier in Australia. The Class AB stereo model is rated at 260W per channel into 8Ω and 350W per channel into 4Ω. Australian orders are open, with local stock expected in December 2026 through Advance Audio Australia.

The output stage uses six parallel push-pull transistor pairs per channel, while the power supply combines a toroidal transformer with two 47,000µF main filter capacitors. The signal architecture is fully balanced from input to output. Balanced AAVA volume control incorporates Accuphase Noise and Distortion Cancelling Circuit technology, known as ANCC. The amplifier has a rated signal-to-noise ratio of 112dB.

Five unbalanced line-level inputs and two balanced inputs provide connections for source components. Separate preamplifier outputs and power-amplifier inputs are also provided. Two speaker-output connections support switching between outputs or using both simultaneously. The speaker-protection circuitry uses low-impedance MOSFET switches, and the specified damping factor is 1,000.

Two expansion slots accommodate optional boards, with support for the DAC-60 digital input board and AD-60 phono stage. The AD-60 supports moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges and includes a subsonic filter. These boards provide digital and phono input options alongside the amplifier's line-level connections.

A dedicated headphone amplifier uses discrete circuitry. The champagne-gold front panel carries twin analogue power meters. The E-6000 measures 465 × 221 × 502mm and weighs 38.6kg.
