Audio Note schedules Heathrow demonstrations for P1 SE and IZVOR

Audio Note UK has scheduled the P1 SE 35th Anniversary stereo valve power amplifier and DAC 4.1x IZVOR Balanced digital-to-analogue converter for its Heathrow show. The amplifier operates in pure Class A through a parallel single-ended topology. The DAC uses an 18-bit IZVOR module and a discrete R2R conversion ladder.

The P1 SE 35th Anniversary's valve complement consists of four EL84 valves and two ECC83 valves. Its maximum output is 8 watts RMS per channel. The amplifier supports loudspeakers presenting 4-ohm or 8-ohm loads. An input signal of 220 mV is required to reach full output.

The discrete conversion ladder in the DAC 4.1x IZVOR Balanced is assembled from large hand-soldered resistors. The converter accepts digital input sample rates of 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz. Its reference output level is 3.2 V RMS. The analogue output impedance is 600 ohms.

Digital signals can enter through a 75-ohm RCA S/PDIF connection. The alternative 110-ohm XLR digital input accepts AES/EBU. Balanced analogue output is available through XLR connections. The single-ended analogue output uses RCA connections.

The P1 SE 35th Anniversary measures 140 x 295 x 450 mm and weighs 15 kg. The Level 2 model is the power-amplifier counterpart to Audio Note UK's Oto SE 35th Anniversary integrated amplifier. At Level 4, the DAC 4.1x IZVOR Balanced also appears in Audio Note UK's current DAC catalogue. Audio Note UK will demonstrate the two components in separate rooms at Heathrow in September 2026.
