Andover Audio has introduced a component turntable with digitally controlled direct drive. The Andover-One DD is priced at $999 in the United States, with US shipping scheduled for the week beginning 5 October 2026.

The turntable supports playback at 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm, with specified speed accuracy within 0.2% and wow and flutter below 0.15%. Optical sensors control platter start and end-of-record stopping. Tonearm placement and return remain manual, combining automatic platter operation with manual handling of the arm.

An Audio-Technica AT-VM520xEB moving-magnet cartridge is fitted at the factory. The 8.8-inch straight tonearm has a carbon-fibre tube and a removable SME-style headshell. Tracking force, anti-skating and vertical tracking angle are adjustable, providing setup controls alongside the pre-installed cartridge.

The deck is built around a solid MDF plinth supporting an internally damped cast-aluminium platter. Adjustable feet provide levelling and help reduce vibration reaching the stylus. A silicone platter mat and hinged dustcover are included.

Connection to a hi-fi system requires an external moving-magnet phono stage. This can be integrated into an amplifier or supplied as a separate component.
