VinnieRossi launches CANTA series with phono preamplifier
The CANTA Phono Preamplifier is VinnieRossi’s first CANTA component and supports moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. It debuted at audio shows in Hong Kong and Taipei in August 2026. An integrated amplifier, preamplifier and stereo power amplifier are planned for fall 2026.

VinnieRossi has launched its CANTA series with the CANTA Phono Preamplifier, a dedicated phono stage designed for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. The model debuted at audio shows in Hong Kong and Taipei in August 2026. It is the first product in the CANTA range and marks an expansion beyond VinnieRossi’s flagship Brama electronics.
The CANTA Phono Preamplifier uses a fully discrete JFET transconductance/transimpedance input stage. Its dual-mono architecture uses independent circuitry for the left and right channels. RIAA equalization accuracy is ±0.1dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. The model also includes a switchable third-order high-pass filter set at 20Hz.
Moving-magnet gain can be set to 36dB, 40dB, 46dB or 52dB. Moving-coil gain settings are 56dB, 60dB, 66dB and 72dB. Moving-magnet resistive loading is fixed at 47k ohms, and capacitance can be set to 100pF, 200pF, 300pF or 400pF. Moving-coil loading is adjustable from 10 ohms to 1,000 ohms.
The CANTA Phono Preamplifier provides separate left and right inputs on both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA connectors. Its left and right outputs are also available in balanced XLR and single-ended RCA form. The preamplifier has a maximum output level of 10Vrms and an output impedance below 100 ohms. A USB-C input on the front panel provides the connection for firmware updates.
The chassis measures 16.25 inches wide, 12.75 inches deep and 2.75 inches high. In metric units, those dimensions are 413 × 324 × 70mm. The CANTA Phono Preamplifier weighs 22lb (10kg). VinnieRossi plans to expand CANTA in fall 2026 with an integrated amplifier, a preamplifier and a stereo power amplifier.
