UNio launches Formula 12 hybrid DC power supply with 12A output
The Formula 12 is intended to power UNio’s Poki network switch, routers and other DC-powered equipment. Formula 5 and Formula 15 models with different output-voltage options are planned for the range.

Hong Kong brand UNio has launched a power supply for digital audio and network equipment. The UNio Formula 12 is a hybrid DC model with two 12V outputs sharing a maximum continuous capacity of 12A, or 144W. Its announced price is EUR 699 excluding VAT.
The unit uses UNio’s Dual Stage Hybrid DC Power design. Its first stage employs a Magnetic Block Unit to process the incoming AC supply before conversion, with the aim of reducing noise and controlling voltage peaks and inrush currents. The second stage uses the company’s Formula Power Architecture to convert AC to DC. This conversion stage also incorporates multi-stage LC filter circuits.
Specified conversion efficiency is close to 90%. The Formula 12 accepts a mains supply of 100–240V AC at 50–60Hz through an IEC inlet and has a power on/off switch. Its specified operating temperature range is −5°C to 65°C, with derating.
Two shielded DC cables are supplied with the power supply, one measuring 1m and the other 2m. Both supplied cables use 5.5 × 2.1mm plugs for their DC connections. The enclosure measures 18cm wide, 17.5cm deep and 6.9cm high, and the unit has a net weight of 2kg.
The first Formula 12 units were undergoing final testing ahead of shipment at the time of the launch coverage.
