Lumio introduces Aura 5 active bookshelf system in India

Lumio has introduced a new bookshelf stereo system in India. The Lumio Aura 5 is an active speaker pair with a specified peak output of 200W. Sales through Lumio and Amazon India are scheduled to begin on 15 October 2026, at an announced price of ₹24,999 and an introductory price of ₹19,999.

The amplification and electronics are housed in one speaker, which connects to the second cabinet to form the stereo pair. This arrangement allows the system to operate without a separate integrated amplifier or receiver. Lumio positions the Aura 5 as a first stereo system for bedrooms, studies and smaller living rooms.

Each cabinet contains a 4.5-inch aluminium-cone woofer and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter. The system has a claimed bass extension of 35Hz under manufacturer test conditions.

Wired inputs comprise HDMI ARC, optical, coaxial, RCA and USB, while wireless connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 5.4. HDMI CEC support allows volume adjustment from a compatible television remote. USB audio support includes FLAC files at resolutions up to 24-bit/48kHz.

The Aura 5 offers Studio, Cinema and Groove sound modes, alongside separate bass and treble controls. An included remote called Minion has an OLED screen. Physical controls are also provided on the speakers.
