Marshall introduces Bromley 150 portable party speaker

Marshall has introduced a new battery-powered model to its Bromley range. The Marshall Bromley 150 portable party speaker has a rated playtime of more than 40 hours and is available for US preorder at $499.99. Estimated shipping is in mid-October.

The speaker uses Marshall's True Stereophonic 360° technology, with front- and rear-facing speakers. Its sealed cabinet houses a 6.5-inch woofer, two 2-inch full-range drivers and a 7.5-inch passive radiator. A 90W Class D amplifier powers the woofer, while two 55W Class D amplifiers power the full-range drivers. The specified frequency range is 42Hz–20kHz, with a maximum sound pressure level of 97dB at one metre and onboard bass and treble adjustment.

The rechargeable LiFePO4 battery is replaceable and can be charged separately from the speaker. A 20-minute quick charge provides a rated five hours of playback, while a full recharge takes a specified three hours. USB-C supports charging input and output at 5V, 3A.

Wireless connectivity uses Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast and multipoint support, alongside SBC, AAC MPEG-2 and LC3 codecs. The specified Bluetooth range exceeds 70 metres in free-field conditions. Wired audio connections include 3.5mm auxiliary input and output. Two XLR/6.35mm combination inputs accept microphones or instruments, with level and effects controls for those inputs.

The Bromley 150 weighs 6.3kg, measures 290mm wide by 297mm high by 208mm deep, and has a built-in carrying handle. It carries an IP55 ingress-protection rating and comes in a Black and Brass finish. The cabinet uses FSC 100%-certified wood, with those wood components accounting for approximately 23% of product weight excluding accessories and packaging. Spare parts and authorised repair services are offered, with availability dependent on the market.
