Lithe Audio has launched the PRO PoE Bolt-on, an accessory for its Pro Series ceiling speakers that carries power and network data through one structured-cabling run. The product is relevant to installers planning ceiling-speaker zones where local mains power at each speaker position would complicate the job.
The module is designed for compatible Lithe Audio Pro Series ceiling speakers rather than as a standalone speaker product. In system terms, it allows each compatible speaker to be powered and networked from suitable PoE infrastructure, making it applicable to multiroom layouts and installed-audio projects built around structured cabling.
Lithe Audio lists the product as SKU 06520 and positions it as a Pro Series accessory. Required supporting equipment includes a Pro Series ceiling speaker, a PoE injector or switch with sufficient output, and suitable category cable, so integrators still need to plan network hardware for each speaker location.
