Fidelity Collective adds Westone Audio and Etymotic
The deal puts two specialist in-ear audio brands under a newly formed holding company. For dealers, musicians and personal-audio listeners, the immediate question is how the group handles product continuity, engineering investment and brand identity.

ecoustics reports that Fidelity Collective has acquired Westone Audio and Etymotic, bringing two established in-ear audio names under a newly formed holding company. The transaction is company news rather than a product launch, but it matters because both brands serve professional monitoring, hearing protection and enthusiast earphone markets.
The report says the deal was finalized on Friday, May 15, 2026. Fidelity Collective is led by CEO Sam Roney and COO Tal Kocen, with Gary Boyer remaining involved as EVP. Roney is named in connection with Dekoni Audio, Grell Audio and Dark Matter Audio Labs, while Kocen is described as having previous experience with Westone Audio and Etymotic.
Westone Audio was founded in 1959 and is associated with custom in-ear monitors, stage use and hearing-protection work. Etymotic, founded in 1983, is described as a research-led earphone and hearing-protection brand with a role in high-isolation in-ear listening. Its ER4SR and ER4XR models are cited in the report as reference points for accurate in-ear sound.
The group is expected to keep the two brand identities in place while investing in staffing, engineering, product development and operational infrastructure. The report also says sales operations are being re-established in Dallas, with engineering and lab facilities in Chicago.
No acquisition price was given. Further product announcements from Westone Audio and Etymotic are expected in the coming months of 2026 and beyond.
