Cantico launches J-DAC digital converter for hi-fi systems
The converter is aimed at high-end two-channel systems with an operating model built around fixed internal settings. Cantico’s design emphasis is on separated circuit sections, physical output selection and in-house board work.

Cantico has launched the J-DAC, a digital-to-analog converter for hi-fi systems. The product uses fixed internal settings for filtering, oversampling and conversion, rather than presenting those parameters as user controls.
The J-DAC is presented around plug-and-play operation and simplified system integration. Its design combines digital inputs, balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, separated internal power sections and a physical output selector that activates one analog output path at a time.
The construction details focus on mechanical rigidity, shielding and internal layout. Cantico describes a unibody aluminum chassis, conductive carbon shielding made by 3D printing, and in-house design and production of the analog circuit boards.
