Garmin launches JL Audio Primacy active home system
The Primacy range moves JL Audio further into dealer-installed luxury home hi-fi under Garmin ownership. It combines active loudspeakers, centralized control and room optimization in a system built around tower or stand-mount speaker options.

Garmin has announced JL Audio Primacy, a premium home audio system that brings the brand’s loudspeakers, amplification, signal processing and system control into a fully active package. The launch gives JL Audio a home hi-fi platform built around matching loudspeakers and a central control component rather than separate passive speakers and outboard amplification.
The range is offered with T6 tower loudspeakers or S3 stand-mount loudspeakers, both designed as active models with driver-specific built-in amplification and DSP filtering. At the centre of the system is the CS centerpiece, which functions as the networked streamer, preamplifier and room optimization processor.
Primacy also introduces P.A.R.O., JL Audio’s room optimization system for the range. It measures and optimizes the system for the listening room, with control over crossovers, levels, equalization and delay. The loudspeakers connect to the centerpiece over Dante networking, keeping audio routing and control inside the system architecture.

Garmin lists JL Audio Primacy as available now. audioXpress reported that Primacy will be sold as a dealer-installed luxury system, with a complete T6 system with the Centerpiece available from approximately $100,000 USD and an S3 system with the Centerpiece and optional stands around $55,000.
