Musical Fidelity has launched the M5xi and M6xi as new integrated amplifiers in its M-Series range. The launch adds two models with onboard digital source handling, phono support and control-system features across both units.
The models sit in a familiar integrated-amplifier role, but with features that reflect current two-channel system requirements. Alongside conventional amplification duties, the M5xi and M6xi provide support for TV audio, computer audio, turntables and external streaming devices.
Both amplifiers share the same broad feature set, with the main published difference between them being output power. Musical Fidelity's product information also places both models around a fully discrete dual-mono power amplifier design using technology derived from the company's TITAN amplifier.
