Cyrus debuts 80 PRE and 80 PWR at North West Audio Show

Cyrus Audio will give the 80 PRE streaming preamplifier and 80 PWR power amplifier their first public demonstration at North West Audio Show 2026. The two forthcoming 80 Series components are due in the Doug Brady room during the Cheshire event on 27-28 June 2026.

The 80 PRE is a streaming preamplifier built around the BluOS streaming platform and an ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M 32-bit DAC. It supports lossless playback up to 24-bit/192kHz and uses a full-colour 5-inch TFT display. The model is designed to partner with the 80 PWR.

The 80 PRE’s input set includes MM/MC phono, four analogue inputs, two optical digital inputs, two coaxial digital inputs, asynchronous USB-B and HDMI eARC. It also has balanced XLR inputs and outputs. The 80 PWR adds balanced XLR inputs for the power amplifier stage.

The 80 PWR uses Class A/B amplification and supports switchable stereo and bridged mono operation. It is rated at 200 watts in stereo mode and 300 watts in mono mode. The planned demonstration system also includes a Cyrus TTP turntable, a Cyrus 40 Series phono preamplifier and DALI Epikore 3 stand-mount loudspeakers.
