Cambridge Audio shows L/R Series active speaker range

Cambridge Audio has shown its L/R Series active stereo speaker range at High End Vienna 2026. The family comprises the L/R X, L/R M and L/R S. Cambridge Audio lists US prices at $2,399 per pair for the L/R X, $1,599 per pair for the L/R M and $549 per pair for the L/R S.

The L/R X and L/R M are the streaming-focused models in the range. Both use Cambridge Audio's StreamMagic Gen 4 platform and include HDMI eARC, moving-magnet phono stages, Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The L/R X supports wireless or USB-C speaker linking, while the L/R M uses USB-C wired speaker linking.

The L/R X uses a 28mm custom tweeter, two 5-inch woofers and two 6-inch passive radiators. Cambridge Audio rates its output at 2x400W. The L/R M also uses a 28mm custom tweeter, paired with two 4-inch woofers and two 4.75-inch passive radiators. Its rated output is 2x150W.

The L/R S is the most compact model in the series and takes a Bluetooth-focused route. It supports aptX HD Bluetooth and uses a 21mm custom tweeter with one 3-inch woofer in a reflex-port design. Cambridge Audio rates the L/R S at 2x50W and equips it with RCA stereo analog, optical and USB inputs.

All three models use DynamEQ volume-dependent tonal optimisation and are offered in black, white, walnut, blue, orange and green finishes. The L/R X measures 200 x 333 x 260mm per speaker, the L/R M measures 158 x 263 x 190mm, and the L/R S measures 134 x 226 x 180mm. Cambridge Audio showed the L/R range alongside the all-new Evo 300 at High End Vienna 2026.
