Cambridge Audio has launched Spira through its own sales channel and approved retailers. The Cambridge Audio Spira turntable uses a belt-driven sub-platter and went on sale on 14 October 2026, with announced prices of £329, €349, $499 and HK$3,480.
The built-in phono stage allows connection to a suitable line-level input on an amplifier or active speakers without a separate phono preamplifier. It can also be bypassed for use with an external phono stage, with Cambridge Audio’s Alva Solo and Alva Duo among the options. A Bluetooth transmitter sends audio to compatible wireless speakers or headphones. The turntable also has a ground connector.
An Audio-Technica cartridge comes pre-fitted and aligned, and Spira supports an Audio-Technica 3600LE elliptical stylus upgrade. The aluminium alloy tonearm has a removable headshell and an adjustable counterweight, while anti-skate is also adjustable. Playback speeds of 33 and 45rpm are selected electronically using a single dial.
The construction combines a lacquered wooden plinth with a 1.8kg steel platter and vibration-absorbing feet. A felt platter mat is supplied, along with a hinged, smoked dust cover. The available colours are black, white, blue, green and orange, with finishes designed to match Cambridge Audio’s L/R active stereo speakers.
