Chesky Audio launches LC2 Reference Monitor speaker
The stand-mount model extends Chesky Audio’s loudspeaker line into a smaller-room and desktop role. Its positioning keeps the focus on a passive hi-fi monitor rather than an active studio or wireless speaker format.

Chesky Audio has launched the LC2 Reference Monitor, a stand-mount loudspeaker aimed at smaller listening rooms, nearfield systems and desktop hi-fi use. The model appeared at AXPONA 2026 in a system using Schiit Audio electronics, bringing Chesky’s compact loudspeaker work into a larger two-way monitor format.
The LC2 follows the LC1 in using a passive speaker architecture rather than onboard amplification or wireless playback. The submitted eCoustics coverage describes the speaker as a compact monitor with in-house driver modifications, passive radiators and a cabinet built around a machined aluminium front baffle with a 3D-printed enclosure.
Chesky Audio assembles, finishes and tests the LC2 speakers in New Jersey before shipping. That domestic production detail is relevant in a category where many compact loudspeakers are designed by one company and manufactured elsewhere.
