Status Audio debuts GoldenSound Pro X wireless earbuds

Status Audio has debuted the GoldenSound Pro X, a special edition wireless earbud model based on the Pro X platform. The $279 earbuds were demonstrated at CanJam London 2026, which ran from 18 July to 19 July 2026 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. Pre-orders were open on 18 July 2026, with initial shipments expected to start in September 2026.

The edition was developed through a partnership between Status Audio and Cameron Oatley. It uses the existing Pro X hardware platform and adds a custom tuning profile developed by GoldenSound. The earbuds also have a gold-and-black finish and a metal-plated chassis.

Each earbud uses a 12mm dynamic driver and two Knowles balanced armature drivers. The stated frequency response is 20Hz to 40kHz. Hybrid active noise cancellation is rated up to -52dB, and the earbuds carry six beamforming microphones.

Wireless support includes Bluetooth 5.3, LDAC up to 990 kbps, AAC, SBC and LC3. The GoldenSound Pro X also supports Bluetooth multipoint, Auracast, Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. The earbuds have an IP55 water and dust resistance rating and work with the Status Hub app.
