The aluminium player uses an active magnetic CD clamp and a 1.12-inch screen. Its USB DAC mode supports PCM up to 384 kHz/32-bit and DSD256. Shanling rates the 4.4 mm balanced headphone output at 700 mW into 32 ohms in high gain.
Wired connectivity includes 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced headphone outputs. EC Play also has a 3.5 mm S/PDIF coaxial output. Bluetooth 6.0 is onboard, with LDAC, AAC and SBC support in receiver mode and SBC support in transmitter mode.
The player uses a 3450 mAh battery and is rated for up to 12 hours of continuous playback. It measures 142 x 125.1 x 26 mm and weighs approximately 418 g. Finish options are black, silver and green.
EC Play arrives as part of Shanling's renewed portable CD player line, which also includes EC Mini and EC Zero T.
