Rotel launches Amora 5 passive stand-mount loudspeaker

Rotel has launched the Amora 5, a passive stand-mount loudspeaker built around a two-way, bass-reflex acoustic design. The model was announced on 19 August 2026 and marks the company’s return to the passive loudspeaker category. The announced prices are $999, €999 or £999 for a pair of loudspeakers.

The Amora 5’s high-frequency section is handled by a 1-inch (25 mm) silk-dome tweeter. A 6.5-inch (165 mm) woven-fiber composite driver is assigned to midrange and bass reproduction. Each speaker houses both drive units in an MDF enclosure. The enclosure vents through a reflex port positioned on the rear panel of the MDF cabinet.

The two-way crossover point between the two drive units is 2.5 kHz. The Amora 5 has a stated frequency response that extends from 48 Hz to 28 kHz. Its stated sensitivity is 87 dB at 2.83 V when measured at a distance of 1 metre. Amplifier power is recommended between 30 W and 120 W for the passive loudspeaker.

The Amora 5 carries dual gold-plated speaker terminals that support single-wire and bi-wire connections. Each Amora 5 enclosure has a removable grille that attaches magnetically to the cabinet. The removable grille uses acoustically transparent fabric as its covering material. The cabinet measures 350 mm in height, 190 mm in width and 300 mm in depth.

Rotel offers the Amora 5’s MDF cabinet in Matte Black and Matte White finishes. The passive stand-mount loudspeaker was scheduled to become available during August 2026 in either finish.
