Rotel launches Amora 5 passive standmount loudspeaker
Rotel has returned to passive loudspeakers after more than 25 years with the two-way bass-reflex Amora 5. The standmount model uses a 25 mm silk-dome tweeter and a 165 mm woven-fibre composite midrange/bass driver. Availability was scheduled for August 2026.

Rotel has launched the Amora 5 passive standmount loudspeaker, marking the brand’s return to passive loudspeakers after an absence of more than 25 years. Rotel announced it on 19 August 2026. The Amora 5 uses a two-way driver topology in a bass-reflex enclosure. The announced US and euro prices are US$999 and €999 per pair.
The driver array assigns high frequencies to a 25 mm silk-dome tweeter and midrange/bass duties to a 165 mm woven-fibre composite driver. The crossover frequency between the two units is 2.5 kHz. The two drivers are installed in an MDF cabinet that vents through a rear-mounted reflex port. An acoustically transparent fabric grille attaches magnetically to the cabinet.
The Amora 5 has a specified frequency response extending from 48 Hz to 28 kHz. Its sensitivity rating is 87 dB at 2.83 V/1 m. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms, and the recommended amplifier-power range runs from 30 W to 120 W. For cabling, dual gold-plated speaker terminals support either single-wire or bi-wire connection.
Each individual Amora 5 cabinet measures 350 mm in height, 190 mm in width and 300 mm in depth. Each speaker has a net weight of 7.7 kg. The two available cabinet finishes are Matte Black and Matte White.
UK pricing is £999 per pair. The announced price for Australia is A$1,499 per pair. In New Zealand, the announced price is NZ$1,849 per pair. The Amora 5 was scheduled to become available during August 2026.
