AMP II-S
Nagra launches AMP II-S stereo power amplifier in UK
The AMP II-S joins Nagra's Series II range and succeeds the Classic AMP, introduced in 2015. It was designed to partner the PREAMP II-S preamplifier, which arrived earlier in 2026.

Nagra introduced its latest power amplifier at The Happening at Haycock Manor Hotel in the UK on 17–18 October 2026. The Nagra AMP II-S stereo power amplifier delivers 120 W RMS per channel into 8 ohms. It is available to order, with a UK recommended retail price of £21,998 including VAT.
The amplifier operates in Class AB, with its first 10 W in Class A, and uses one pair of MOSFET output transistors per channel. Its linear power supply is built around a custom-made 800 VA potted transformer. A specially designed suspension for the transformer is intended to reduce the transmission of mechanical vibration.
The input board derives from Nagra's Reference AMP, while development work on the company's HD and Reference electronics contributed to the engineering behind the new model. The AMP II-S incorporates revised circuit layouts and optically isolated controls. Its construction also includes a CNC-machined heatsink.
A front-panel Modulometer provides an analogue display of audio level. The meter draws on Nagra's professional recording heritage, including the IV-S reel-to-reel recorder introduced in 1971.
Following its world premiere, the amplifier is scheduled for presentation at Audio Video Show 2026 in Warsaw and Tokyo International Audio Show 2026, both taking place on 23–25 October 2026. Absolute Sounds handles UK distribution of the AMP II-S.
