Tide16
miniDSP launches Tide16 immersive AV processor with Dirac
The processor targets home-theater and custom-install systems that need separate amplification and room-correction tools rather than an all-in-one AVR. Its included Dirac suite makes acoustic optimisation part of the package, not a later software purchase.

miniDSP has launched the Tide16, an immersive AV-DSP processor for systems built around external amplification and active speaker control. The product is positioned for multichannel home-theater, advanced stereo and installation use, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X processing alongside Dirac room-correction tools.
The Tide16 is not an AV receiver and does not include onboard power amplification. Its role is source switching, decoding, signal processing, bass management and room optimisation before the audio signal is passed to amplifiers or active loudspeakers.
The included Dirac package covers Dirac Live 3.x full range, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Active Room Treatment, with licenses included at no extra licensing cost. A measurement microphone is optional rather than bundled; miniDSP lists the UMIK-1 and UMIK-2 as optional Dirac-approved microphones.
