Michi launches Prestige P430 preamp and S430 power amp
Michi's P430 and S430 join the X430 integrated amplifier and Q430 CD player in the Prestige series. Both new models have black aluminium enclosures and are supplied with remote controls.

Michi has expanded its Prestige series with two separate components. The Michi Prestige P430 preamplifier and Prestige S430 stereo power amplifier each have a suggested retail price of US$3,999. The S430 is rated at 230 W per channel into 8 ohms and 390 W per channel into 4 ohms.
The P430 uses an eight-channel ESS SABRE ES9028PRO DAC and supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256. It has a balanced signal architecture, isolated dual power supplies and separate analogue and digital circuit sections. Digital inputs include coaxial, optical, HDMI ARC and PC-USB, while Bluetooth streaming supports aptX HD and AAC. Balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA and moving-magnet phono inputs provide analogue connections.
The preamplifier provides balanced XLR and RCA outputs, two mono subwoofer outputs and digital outputs, alongside a 6.35 mm headphone socket. Its front display shows source information, digital-audio resolution and volume level. The P430 measures 431 × 148 × 404 mm and weighs 11 kg.
The S430 uses Class AB amplification, an in-house-manufactured toroidal transformer and a bank of four reservoir capacitors. Its internal design includes isolated signal routing, a multi-stage push-pull output-transistor arrangement and a copper-coated power-distribution plate. Heatsinks are mounted on the sides of the enclosure.
The power amplifier accepts balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs and has a 12 V trigger connection. It provides two sets of gold-plated five-way speaker terminals per channel for bi-wiring. Its front-panel TFT display offers selectable VU-meter or spectrum-meter views. The S430 measures 431 × 148 × 405 mm and weighs 17.5 kg.
