Inklang has expanded its Ceterra flagship loudspeaker series with the Ceterra 50R. The passive three-way floorstanding speaker starts at €4,950 per speaker including VAT and is available to order through the company's online configurator.

The speaker uses Scandinavian-made drivers, combining a 19 mm ring-radiator tweeter, a 120 mm midrange driver and two 160 mm woofers. The tweeter incorporates a patented phase-plug design and a Symmetrical-Drive SD-2 motor. Both the midrange driver and woofers use titanium voice-coil formers and FEA-optimised magnet systems, while the woofers also have specially reinforced surrounds. The bass-reflex enclosure is vented at the rear.

The crossover occupies a separate chamber within the enclosure and includes inductors and capacitors from Jantzen Audio. Its crossover frequencies are 340 Hz and 3,000 Hz, with 18 dB slopes on all three ways. Adjustments at the connection terminal provide ±1 dB of treble adjustment and midrange settings of 0 dB or −1 dB. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms.

The cabinet is built from high-density fibreboard with walls up to 38 mm thick and additional internal bracing. It measures 1,120 mm high and 402 mm deep, with a cabinet width of 171 mm and an overall width of 257 mm including the base. The solid-milled aluminium base is available in silver or black.

The main cabinet can be configured in ten Inklang Spectrum colours and three gloss levels, with custom paint options using colour systems such as Caparol Icons, Little Greene and NCS. A rear accent element is finished in satin-matt black as standard, with a custom second colour or high-gloss carbon finish available as options. The magnetically attached front grilles have polished metal frames and come in four colour variants.
