Ferrum Audio has launched the WANDLA GoldenSound Edition Gen 2, a new version of its DAC/preamp aimed at systems where digital conversion, preamplifier control and sound-shaping functions sit in one component. The model debuted at CanJam NYC and updates the GoldenSound Edition feature set rather than introducing a separate product category.
The Gen 2 changes focus on Ferrum’s Sweet Spot Tuning functions. Impact+, Tube Mode and Spatial Enhancement have all been revised, giving users broader control over bass shaping, harmonic character and spatial processing within the WANDLA platform.
Tube Mode now covers five valve signatures and has a wider adjustment range. Ferrum also lists a free Gen 2 upgrade for current WANDLA GoldenSound Edition owners, while other WANDLA owners can access the new feature set through a paid converting plug-in.
