Bladelius announces Norse X1, X2 and X5 electronics

Bladelius has announced the Norse X1 power amplifier, Norse X2 preamplifier and Norse X5 power supply. Published on 6 October 2025, the announcement presents the three new components together as a modular Norse electronics system powered by Bladelius.

The Norse X1 power amplifier supports selectable operation in both stereo and mono modes. It also provides a choice of low or normal bias settings. In stereo mode, output is rated at 50W per channel into 8 ohms and 100W per channel into 4 ohms. Mono output is rated at 200W into 8 ohms and 390W into 4 ohms.

The X1 has a specified frequency response of 1Hz to 100kHz, measured at +0/-3dB across that range. Rated distortion for the power amplifier is specified at less than 0.01%. The X1's specified signal-to-noise ratio is greater than 125dB.

The Norse X2 preamplifier uses a relay attenuator for volume control. The attenuator is built with metal-film resistors specified to a tolerance of 0.01%. The input section of the preamplifier provides four pairs of balanced XLR connections. Three pairs of balanced XLR connections are provided at the outputs.

The Norse X5 power supply provides two power outputs for X1 power amplifiers and one power output for the X2 preamplifier. The X1 power amplifier measures 240mm in width, 67mm in height and 248mm in depth. The X5 power supply has dimensions of 240mm by 67mm by 248mm. Both of these components have a stated weight of 6kg.
